Practical rules for style instructions that give consistent, on-brand product videos.
Short, concrete instructions work better than long creative paragraphs. Veo responds best to clear visual direction.
Do
- Name one setting and one lighting mood
- Name one or two camera moves, such as slow orbit or push-in close-up
- Describe the background and surface the product sits on
- Keep it general enough to suit every product in the task
Avoid
- Asking for people, models or hands: VEOit asks for no people or faces
- Voiceover, narration, dialogue or song lyrics: these words are removed
- Text, prices or logos on screen: VEOit asks for no on-screen text
- Many scene changes in 8 seconds
Run separate tasks per collection when products need different settings, for example kitchenware and outdoor gear.
