Why Google sometimes blocks a video and how to reduce rejections.
Google applies responsible AI filters to every Veo generation. When a filter blocks a video, no video is returned, and VEOit retries with a simplified prompt.
Common triggers
- Requests for people, children, faces or celebrities
- Speech, narration or song lyrics in the audio
- Product images showing people, especially children or swimwear models
- Weapons, medical claims or other sensitive product types
How to reduce rejections
- Use a first product image that shows only the product, without a person
- Keep style instructions about the scene, lighting and camera
- Avoid brand names of other companies and famous people in the prompt
If a product is always blocked, its error appears in the Error Log. Changing its first image is usually the fix.
